In 2018, Nancy saw Josh's band playing and noticed his keyboard was the same as hers. She introduced herself to Josh to “talk shop” and a friendship was formed.  In  August 2020, they played their first gig together.

The name Sight and Sound was suggested by a friend because it is relevant to their duo.

Josh C. Is the “Sound”.  Blind since birth, his sense of hearing is extraordinary and he has developed perfect pitch. Josh programs all the backing tracks using sophisticated keyboard and synth equipment, 

Nancy is the “Sight”. The touchscreen and complexity of the keyboards and synthesizer can be difficult for Josh to navigate, so she helps him to memorize and navigate the knobs, buttons and functions.
